Submit Your Podcast to Spotify

Blubrry is a Spotify partner and can submit your podcast to Spotify directly from your Blubrry Podcaster Dashboard. This service is available to Blubrry media hosting customers. If your show isn't hosted with Blubrry, submit it at creators.spotify.com.

Why submit through Blubrry

When Blubrry submits your show, your media stays on passthrough, so all of your Spotify plays are measured and you can monetize with dynamic ads. If you submit manually, Spotify may cache your media, which removes both.

Before you begin

  • You must be a current Blubrry media hosting customer.
  • Your feed must have a title, artwork, and at least one episode.
  • Your audio must be MP3 at 96–320 kbps.
  • Each media file must be 200MB or less — roughly 83 minutes at 320 kbps, or more than 200 minutes at 128 kbps.
  • Your artwork must meet Spotify's specifications. See Podcast Submission Requirements.

Submit your show

  1. Sign in to your Blubrry Podcaster Dashboard.
  2. In the left menu, select Show, then Destinations.
  3. Select the gear icon in the Spotify row.
  4. Confirm the Podcast Feed URL. It's usually filled in for you. If it's empty, find it under Show > Manage in Publisher, or PowerPress Settings > Feeds in PowerPress.
  5. Select your Home Territory.
  6. Select the best iTunes Category for your show.
  7. Check both boxes to confirm your age and agree to the Spotify Terms and Conditions of Use.
  8. Type your full legal name in the Signature field.
  9. Select Submit.

After you submit

Your show is sent to Spotify immediately, but Spotify can take up to three days to make it visible on their platform. Check the Destinations section of your Blubrry Podcaster Dashboard for your show's submission status.

Notes

  • Spotify does not accept shows containing copyrighted music or other licensed material.
  • Spotify does not accept video files in podcast feeds from other hosts, even if the feed contains only one. Video podcasts are currently available only to shows hosted on Spotify through Spotify for Creators.
  • Spotify removes episodes that don't meet its content policies.
