Vid2Pod is a Blubrry Publisher feature that turns YouTube videos into podcast episodes. Once connected, new videos you publish to a selected YouTube playlist are converted to audio and added to your Blubrry podcast feed automatically.
Prerequisites
- An active Blubrry Hosting account
- Your show set to publish with Blubrry Publisher — Vid2Pod is an option within Publisher, not a separate publishing method
- A YouTube channel with at least one playlist you control
Setting up a new show? Choose Blubrry Publisher as your publishing method during setup, then follow the steps below.
Best practice: Use a dedicated playlist for Vid2Pod. Do not use a playlist already attached to another podcast RSS feed.

- Your feed updates the podcast apps and directories where your show is listed (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and others).
Conversion time varies with video length and processing load. Episodes appear automatically once processing completes.
Tips
- Titles and descriptions: Keep your YouTube titles and descriptions clear — they become your podcast episode metadata.
- Artwork: Your podcast artwork has to meet directory requirements. See Podcast Directory Requirements for current specifications. You can use your existing YouTube channel artwork or upload your own during setup.
