The Welcome tab is the first screen you'll see in PowerPress settings. It shows your Blubrry connection status and gives you quick access to key actions like publishing episodes and viewing statistics.
Getting connected
If you use Blubrry Podcast Hosting or Blubrry Podcast Statistics, connect your account for a streamlined upload-and-publish workflow and accurate analytics. If you're not hosting with Blubrry or using Blubrry Statistics, you don't need to connect here.
- On the Welcome tab, click Let's Connect.
- If you're already logged into your Blubrry.com account in the same browser, you'll be asked to authorize the connection. Otherwise, you'll be prompted to log in first. Click Authorize to link your Blubrry account to PowerPress.
- Choose your default program — the show PowerPress will use when uploading new media files (if you're using Blubrry Hosting) and when applying the default statistics prefix (if you're using Blubrry Stats).
- Click Save Changes at the bottom of the screen to store your settings.
Managing multiple podcasts
If you manage more than one podcast in PowerPress using Podcast Channels or Category Podcasting, turn on Multiprogram Mode:
- Go to PowerPress > Advanced.
- Check the box for Multiprogram Mode.
- Click Save Changes.
Then, for each additional podcast feed: go to that feed's settings, select Other under the statistics prefix option, and paste in the correct prefix from your Blubrry account. This ensures each podcast feed's statistics are tracked properly.
What you'll see on this tab
- Before connecting — a prompt to connect your Blubrry Hosting account (See My Options), and a Let's Connect button if you already have a Blubrry account.
- After connecting — confirmation that you're Connected to Blubrry, with a link to your Blubrry Hosting Settings.
- Podcast statistics (once connected) — a downloads chart for the past 7 days, today's downloads, your 30-day average, and total downloads, plus See all statistics and Create New Episode buttons.
- Your podcast overview — your show's artwork, title, author, description, and episode count.
- Getting ready to publish — if your show is missing artwork or a published episode, you'll see prompts to add them. Most podcast directories require both before they'll accept your podcast.
- Podcast Insider news — recent articles from Blubrry's own podcasting blog.
- Resource links — quick links to PowerPress Documentation, the Podcast Insider Blog, the Podcast Manual, Blubrry Resources, Blubrry Support, and the Blubrry PowerPress Forum.
- Looking for Support? — a link to Blubrry's support options at the bottom of the page.
