Blubrry Hosting with PowerPress

Blubrry Hosting and PowerPress work together to make podcast publishing simple. When you link Blubrry Hosting with the PowerPress WordPress plugin, you can upload media, write show notes, and publish episodes directly from your WordPress site. In this guide, you will learn how to connect your Blubrry account and publish your first episode step by step.

Link Your Blubrry Account to PowerPress

Before you can publish, you need to connect your Blubrry Hosting account to PowerPress. Here’s how:

  1. First, open PowerPress Settings in your WordPress dashboard.
  2. Next, click the Let’s Connect button.
  3. Then, enter your Blubrry login email and password.
  4. After that, select the podcast program you want to use for this WordPress site.
  5. Finally, click Save to complete the connection.

Once you finish these steps, your WordPress site connects to your Blubrry Podcast Hosting account. As a result, you can upload and publish episodes directly without leaving WordPress.

Create a Post, Upload, and Publish

Publishing with PowerPress feels just like creating a blog post. Follow these steps:

  1. First, write your episode post and add your show notes.
  2. Then, in the Podcast Episode box, click Choose File.
  3. Next, select a media file you have uploaded to Blubrry Hosting, or upload a new file directly.
  4. Finally, click Publish. PowerPress will attach the media file to your podcast feed automatically.

Important: Blubrry stores any uploaded media privately until you attach it to a published post. This way, the files do not count against your 30-day storage until you decide to publish them.
